Concept
Samadhi
Union, the goal of yoga: after pratyahara, concentration turned on the higher self deepens into absorption and merges with it, leaving no sense of separation. Its levels run from savikalpa, where thought remains, to nirvikalpa, where it stops; he teaches returning to it repeatedly as a therapy that reformats the brain.

12:58“If you soak enough, if you absorb enough, if you go on the date enough, then it will get big enough, and you will be sucked into a samadhi, and that oneness.”11:02“So now, there's a lot of spiritual teachings that will talk about samadhi as a kind of death, and I totally know what they're talking about.”00:01“Today, I want to talk about samadhi as therapy.”09:06“See, everybody knows the definition of Nirvikalpa Samadhi, the highest samadhi, which is to view your Purana Purusha, that is your higher self, continuously throughout the day in an unbroken state.”04:21“Then it is possible to have a samadhi when you merge with the light inside of your spine.”00:44“What I mean is that, as a whole, as a society, we really don't know what superconsciousness, what samadhi is, and so that's a problem.”06:26“If you're going to walk out to the rock, you have to get wet, and that's how it is with samadhi.”09:12“Samadhi is a blow your mind therapy.”05:17“And we go all the way into pure identification with the right brain, pure identification with everything, which is the samadhi, right?”01:26“The very first time that I had a samadhi, I looked around for my body.”08:28“And that will crystallize into the samadhi, and the samadhi is a union, right?”05:12“Samadhi is a lifetime venture.”03:18“And so I thought that's exactly what Samadhi looks like, and so I had a Samadhi, and I didn't know it was a Samadhi for years.”08:08“That's your left brain, which goes to show you can come deep into a samadhi, deep into the void, and still we have lots to learn.”14:20“That begins in absorption, and it finishes in the samadhi, the non-dual state.”07:20“The identification goes from this to that, and for that moment you are identified, but it only happened because the clarity blossomed and the absorption blossomed, and then the samadhi blossomed.”11:55“Lahiri Mahasaya said, the samadhi of Om is the easiest samadhi to get into.”16:48“Somebody said, Forrest, you're saying that samadhi is a mental state.”16:39“That is a perfect samadhi.”12:43“Only in the samadhi are you completely free of the body.”07:13“John is incredibly deep yogi, and he's gone past Samadhi.”02:21“So we enter through absorption into a union state of samadhi.”25:22“And all we really need now is a little bit of bliss and a lot of expansion, and that will bring us into absorption and samadhi.”23:43“And the definition of the samadhi is that there is no body.”09:57“I'm gonna go into The samadhi, union, right?”06:34“And it's you could almost see it as a tornado coming down, and that tornado will actually suck him into the samadhi, and that's a little bit of an absorption experience.”19:44“And when you go into samadhi, okay, it's kind of like layers.”02:28“He's actually gone through savikalpa, Nirvikalpa, and he's been in the sahaja samadhi that happens spontaneously while you're walking around.”10:07“You talk about samadhi, you talk about absorption.”01:58“Not only did he have that level of samadhi, of that union, but the next level where he looked on the whole and he said, "This is me."”19:47“You are in the first samadhi.”09:15“So there's a dividing line between absorption and samadhi.”06:03“And if you can fill your mind absolutely and completely, then you will eventually enter into absorption and then samadhi.”15:53“So now the yogi experiences expansion and bliss, and these are the hallmarks of samadhi.”07:26“Those two are what all the yogis tell us over and over again equates to the experience of Samadhi, that we have expansion and deep bliss at the same time, and this is what activates both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously.”05:17“So you go into samadhi over and over again, and it reformats your brain.”14:22“The last chapter is absorption and samadhi, and I've been writing about that on Patreon.”09:59“Even going into samadhi, the first samadhi you ever have, you're going to doubt it.”03:53“So they say if you don't still it, then you cannot go into Samadhi.”10:01“Because it's a setup for you to get into absorption and samadhi.”00:59“Yoga tells us that only by the process of samadhi, of a continuous diving into samadhi, can we hope to reach a non-dual state.”13:34“The end of that state is what we call union or samadhi.”10:17“And when you merge with it, that is called samadhi, okay?”08:36“Now you can reach expansion, you can reach Samadhi, but even that will not make sense until it completes and you have the Ananda.”16:05“It becomes the samadhi.”08:43“They go into samadhi and they're frozen in place.”00:01“Recently on the samadhi training, I mentioned that my first samadhi came about when I was doing a lot of experimentation with yoga nidra, and that really allowed me to get my conscious mind out of the way, and more importantly, it gave me the beginning of the window of conscious mind-subconscious mind integration, which is so powerful for the yogi.”01:13“All of your trainings are unique, but this one is special, not only because it touches Samadhi, but because it is a true spiritual map.”04:34“If we're going towards samadhi, if we're going towards liberation, we are going towards this right brain access in a very big way, in a way that the rest of the world doesn't really know about.”01:33“She would get into profound, deep, deep bliss over and over again, and then she started going into samadhi wonderfully.”07:19“For example, when you go into the non-dual state, when you go into a Samadhi, there's no visions.”07:48“That's that's all the way into samadhi, the non-dual state.”00:56“This whole story was circling inside of me, and I actually fell into a very short Rama samadhi.”05:12“And he would go into a samadhi this way, so the body would go into the freeze response, and his whole body would disappear, and he would go into a union state, a non-dual state.”14:02“You expand, and that expansion leads to absorption and the non-dual state of samadhi.”21:44“That's a samadhi.”13:04“You can even go into samadhi this way.”00:30“Patanjali has spoken four important reasons why you are unable to go into samadhi is the movement of the body, inability to keep it stable.”15:42“We were looking for the samadhi where there is expansion and bliss, and now we know the charge is really, really complete.”12:58“I go into the low-idle-state, I Om into the chakras, I roll up and I go into absorption, and finally into samadhi.”10:09“We automatically enter into absorption, and if we do that again and again, then we will automatically have a union experience, a samadhi.”13:25“That's the deep, deep samadhi that the yogi is looking for.”13:38“And eventually, it has the potential to grow all the way into the non-dual state, into a samadhi.”00:43“I want to take you from the very beginning to samadhi, all the way to the end, to the beginnings of the samadhi therapy.”20:47“Around this time, I had a samadhi, and I wrote to Ashok.”12:34“I have, if I have those, I've gone very very deep, because now I'm on the edge of absorption and samadhi.”02:14“When you want to get into a samadhi, you have to know about the right brain and the easiest, quickest, fastest way to get there, and the practice of Hakalau allows for that.”10:38“And so you could say that absorption is actually the fourth phase of paravastha, and after that comes the non-dual state of samadhi.”08:56“You're on the cusp of it, and if you hang out in that realm, tranquil breath, freeze response, roll-up of consciousness, you are bound to get into absorption and samadhi.”08:35“We begin to embrace the silence, and that's the deep, deep, deep meditation, which eventually goes into absorption and the oneness experience of samadhi.”09:58“The end goal of yoga is this liberation or this freedom, this moksha, this Kaivalya, they keep talking about Samadhi and the realizations that flow over you.”02:30“The Samadhi is awakening those three things perfectly.”07:38“But just to give you an idea, I think I have about 31 people now who have experienced samadhi or are going into samadhi on a regular basis, absorption and samadhi.”01:59“We're going to have another training on the non-dual process on absorption and Samadhi.”03:24“Entering into that non-dual state, entering into a union, entering into a samadhi, we love that.”15:47“I watched him go into samadhi the very very first time I met him.”27:28“Well, the reason is the yogi wants to enter into the purely non-dual state, and so he will OM even through the visions, so that he can enter into the state of a pure samadhi, a merger between his consciousness and one pure idea, one original idea of the higher self.”06:49“This is this is the most amazing meditation I've ever had, and it was a samadhi.”10:05“Third of all, If you don't have bliss, you won't go into a full samadhi, because you're not clear.”13:19“You can take this all the way into Samadhi.”10:54“I've gone into samadhi using Hakalau.”03:28“I came out of a samadhi one time, and I go, oh my god, is I'm going back to the mudball because it's it was so high and ecstatic.”00:23“I don't want it to interfere with my meditative practice and my goal of of getting deep into samadhi, into the absorption and samadhi state.”11:42“So when you go into absorption, when you go into samadhi, when you begin to identify with a divine idea in the right brain, then now now you're non-dual.”02:04“I'm going to do just a few of those, just a handful, and I'm going to go into absorption and samadhi.”10:57“It's the low-idle-state, which enables the process of absorption and samadhi, and without it, we don't have a very good chance.”09:53“Doing that is what enabled him to get deeper into absorption and finally into samadhi.”10:49“Jonah is swallowed by the whale, and that is you in meditation being swallowed by the right hippocampus of the brain, and this is where the non-dual state resides in a samadhi.”06:56“I have students doing this, actually going into absorption, going into samadhi.”01:01“The Enlightenment Equation: What really needs to take place to get us all the way to Samadhi?”02:14“And then we have a union, finally, which is samadhi.”04:28“We want to get into samadhi.”06:01“And then the last number, 20,736, you have the potential to reach samadhi, a union in a very very deep state of meditation.”1:35:18“To yeah, so when we so when I say get into the right brain, I mean samadhi.”15:43“There's Samadhi, but you are right on the edge of that.”11:10“When you get into the right hippocampus, that's the state of absorption, which eventually turns into the state of Samadhi, and that is pure silence.”00:50“I really recommend it because what you have is a doctor's fresh experience of samadhi, basically, and she doesn't call it that.”14:38“It was a set system, which would, like a recipe, which would produce the cake of samadhi.”09:26“It's Samadhi.”10:08“The last number, 20,736, will put you in Samadhi.”12:16“We need to concentrate on the light in the spine again, without the body consciousness, and we begin to merge with that light, and that is the samadhi”03:06“I think it was, and he goes into very deep samadhi, right?”
